The wives of G20 leaders were also busy while the leaders were discussing the future economic development and globalization at the G20 Summit.

On September 5, Peng Liyuan, wife of Chinese President Xi Jinping, attended an anti-AIDS campaign held in Zhejiang University with the spouses of G20 leaders as a World Health Organization goodwill ambassador for tuberculosis and HIV/AIDS.

Peng and the guests watched a film on HIV/AIDS prevention and control, and listened to the university's anti-AIDS report -- "Story of Red Ribbon".

Several athletes who completed in the Rio Olympic Games, including Wu Minxia, Sun Yang and Fu Yuanhui, and Wu Muye, a famous pianist, were invited to become the ambassadors of the red ribbions and volunteered to fight against AIDS.

Some university students shared their understanding of AIDS and the determination of AIDS control, among whom are two students affected by HIV/AIDS and talks about their stories and vision for the future.

In the end, Peng and the guests pinned red ribbons to a signature board, expressing their support and hopes for HIV/AIDS control.

Xinhua News reports that Peng, an anti-AIDS publicist for China's National Health and Family Planning Commission, claimed on that day that she has been actively supporting and participating in the school tours for anti-AIDS advocacy. The campaigns that have been introduced into many Chinese universities have resulted in good results. Noting that the foreign guests' attendance will have a extensive and positive influence, she also called on the international community to join hands to improve the level of HIV/AIDS prevention and the search for a cure.
