Seven Celebrities Starting 2017 With Inspiring Messages about God

Before the year kicks off for many celebrities, some have started the year by reflecting on their relationship with God and shared these reflections with fans.

Check out the seven celebrities who started the year with God-centered messages for their fans as compiled by The Christian Post.

1. Tamera Mowry-Housley

The 38 year old actress who co-hosts hit daytime talk show "The Real" posted a special message in Instagram, highlighting how she is learning to trust God's timing and shared it with her fans.

In the message, she wrote, "This year was pretty amazing! Of course, each year has its own challenges. But each year I'm learning to trust in the Lord's timing and His hand on my life. Can't wait to see what the next year brings. I'm ready! 2017 I'm so excited."

2. Christon Gray

The 30 year old rapper has made quite a buzz in 2016 as his music was heard in ESPN, HBO, FOX and Honda commercials throughout the year. Unlike his fellow rappers who are working their way to start their own path to stardom, he said that he is now ready to allow God take control of writing his story.

In Instagram, the rapper said, "2016. It was the best of times, it was the worst of times. But I'm going to stop trying to write the rest of the story God already wrote. It's time to watch my own movie."

3. Romeo Miller

2016 was filled with challenges for rapper, entrepreneur and actor Romeo Miller as he had to worry about a lawsuit filed against him by his mother which was filed in 2015. He began the year with a post in Instagram saying "Walking in to 2017 with nothing but peace in my heart. Happy New Year."

The 27-year old rapper had also shared his peace with others by posting a screenshot of Bible study notes regarding the subject in Instagram.

4. Candace Cameron-Bure

The 30-year old actress from "Fuller House" had several exciting breaks in 2016 and she hasn't forgotten that God has given her these opportunities, as well as blessings far greater than career.

In Instagram, the actress wrote, "2016 was a pretty incredible year for the Bure's. We had many milestones including my 40th birthday, our 20 year anniversary, Natasha's 18th birthday and graduation from high school. 'Fuller House' seasons 1 & 2 premiered on Netflix with outrageously high viewership with a season 3 pick up and I co-hosted my last episode on 'The View.' I thank god for all the opportunities."

She also added, "even more, I thank God for my family who blesses me beyond measure.."

5. Tiffany Arbuckle Lee or Plumb

2016 is not a great year for Christian singer Plumb who has experience a loss in her family. However, she is learning to move forward and looking at the year with optimism.

In her Instagram post, which has a photo that says "what is coming is better than what is gone," the singer wrote "I had a year that started out very uncomfortable and ended with tremendous growth. From that growth came some sadness from some of those things coming to an end... so this encouraged me to look forward to what is to come this new year... maybe it will be for you as well."

6. Brandy Norwood

36-year-old R&B singer Brandy is also optimistic about the incoming year and her Instagram post reflects her uncerstanding of who she is in God.

She wrote, "I've been lost, deep in bondage, suicidal and didn't know how to call on the Most High because I didn't believe i had the right words to be heard. I'm hear now more certain than I have ever been and I have arrived at a true understanding of my purpose, worth, and an unconditional love and compassion for myself. A true God becoming talent that I will only use for my contribution in healing all of myself and all of the world. #2017"

7. David Boudia

Diver David Boudia still cannot believe that God had guided him to win a silver and bronze medal at the 2016 Olympic games in Rio. On the last day of the year, the 27 year old diver reflected on God's grace and glory before meeting the new year.

In Instagram, he wrote, "Just reflecting on God's goodness this past year. Not bc I won Olympic medals but that he would choose to use me as a vehicle for his glory through it!"
