China has kept the famous and controversial 'gay scene' of the latest Disney movie "Beauty and the Beast."

According to a report, it has kept the said scene despite being controversial.

"Controversial gay moment kept in Disney's #BeautyAndTheBeast. Movie premiered on Mar 17 in China, requires no guidance for minor audience," The People's Daily said via Twitter.

It has been known that a new film regulation in China stated that films that "might attract minors or other audiences that are physically or psychologically inappropriate, a warning should be given."

On March 16, a Hong Kong Christian school asked parents of children from watching the said movie as it promotes gay.

"The school has been teaching the children with the truths in the Bible to let them understand Gods' purposes of creating mankind. God disapproves of homosexuality. Therefore we call on the parents not to bring them or let them watch the film," the notice read.

Meanwhile, some people from Taiwan also argue online as the film is said to be promoting bestiality.
