Most Christians face a season in their walk where they sought the Lord but could not find or experience him.
We go about our sins and over all our accomplishments. In the end, we tend to account ourselves 'till we get into a conclusion that God is simply mad at us and won't show his face to us.
Apostle Paul shares with us in Romans 8:38-39 what he learnt from his personal walk with Christ, saying, "I am convinced that nothing can ever separate us from God's love. Neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons, neither our fears for today nor our worries about tomorrow-not even the powers of hell can separate us from God's love. No power in the sky above or in the earth below-indeed, nothing in all creation will ever be able to separate us from the love of God that is revealed in Christ Jesus our Lord."
In the book of John, Satan threats to "...kill, steal and destroy".
One of his agendas is to destroy the relationship we have with Christ our Savior. He begins to fill our hearts with guilt and make us believe that our sins have not been forgiven. But take heart! Christ is faithful and just to forgive our sins and cleanse us from all wickedness the moment we confess our sins to him (1 John 1:9).
Another thing the devil can do is manipulate with our emotions.
We suddenly feel nothing during our fellowship with Christ and assume that God-is not in the mood-to speak to us. But we should always keep in mind that, "we live by faith, not by sight."
As Christians, we no longer rely on what we see, feel or hear. We rely on what we know, what we believe, what we hope for. That "not even the powers of hell can separate us from God's love." And that as we draw near to him, he will draw near to us (James 4:8 NIV). He will be there in the time of our fellowship with him.
So let us not allow the thought of God being mad at us stop us from pursuing him, for we will surely find him.
