With Jesus, God came in as a poor man, lived as one and died as a poor man. He brings good news to the poor and as such, Jesus cared deeply to the poor.

What we do with our faith is important to Jesus. He taught us to have commitment in loving him, His father as well as our neighbors.

Jesus loves belief-filled actions, to recall he said:

"If you would be perfect, go, sell what you possess and give to the poor, and you will have treasure in heaven; and come, follow me" (Matthew 19:21)

"Truly I say to you that with difficulty a rich person will enter into the kingdom of heaven! And again I say to you, it is easier for a camel to go through the eye of a needle than a rich person into the kingdom of God" (Matthew 19:23-24).

Jesus taught us that his currency in the Kingdom is different than ours. His economy greatly based on self-sacrifice, faith and love. For Him, actions and belief are the same, and you cannot have one without the other.

God has always delivered good news to  the poor. He always reminded us that we need to be the hope to others who are hopeless. We need to become home to homeless. Jesus invited us to drop anything which could hinder us from following His commandments. He called us to follow the currency of love instead of our own definition of wealth.

Jesus provided us with eternal life as a gift; but, this gift prompts action. It also meant to give us purpose we need to work on. And one of the action is for us to tend to our poor and homeless brothers and sisters.
