Jackie Chan is known as a martial arts legend; an action star we all are looking up to but he confessed that he wants to take a break from performing action stunts in movies.

The 63-year-old actor said he had been looking out for dramatic roles and luckily, he landed on the movie, "The Foreigner," a thriller movie based on the 1992 novel titled "The Chinaman" by Stephen Leather. It tells about the story of a despondent immigrant who sets out to hunt down those responsible for the London terrorist attack that killed his daughter.

Jackie Chan portrays the role of Quan in the movie.

"I'm too used to injuries," he admitted. "But if I want to keep making movies, I have to change."

When Entertainment Weekly asked Jackie Chan why he wants to do more drama compared to before, he answered: "To put it simply, I'm not young anymore. If I still want to keep making movies, I have to be, like, an Asian De Niro, Dustin Hoffman, or Clint Eastwood, who at 80 can still be actors. When you think about it, in Japan, Hong Kong, China, U.S., there are so many action stars, but a lot of them now are no longer working. So that's why I'm saying I have to change."

Jackie Chan also added that he is sure that his fans will understand his choices in making new movies. He said that Jackie Chan is an actor and not just an action star or kung fu star. He said that since he wanted to make movies, he has to change.

Jackie Chan also revealed what are his plans after the movie.

"I hope every year I can get to make different films and do different things, maybe voice more animated films, or make films where you see me doing things you haven't seen me try before, or even ones where you see me do familiar things. And on top of that, I want to continue singing songs," he shared.
