Fans of "Big Little Lies" are already expecting another season as HBO revealed way back in July that a second season is possible. Moreover, author and screenwriter Liane Moriarty was reportedly asked to write a story for season 2.

In an interview with E! News on Sunday, September 17, during Emmys 2017, the cast of "Big Little Lies" revealed that they want to do season 2 too.

Nicole Kidman and Reese Witherspoon both said that they love the women in the show and that they really wanted to do another season.

"Being in people's lives with these stories and these issues, and have them connecting the way that they have," Kidman added.

She also said that they originally thought the story would have a place in people's lives but they never expected it would stretch that far.

Nicole Kidman also previously revealed on E! News that even though they are willing to do another season of "Big Little Lies," the network is yet to decide about it as there are still a lot to pull together.

Witherspoon also said that they are all talking about it and added that they will only going to do it if they feel like it's really as good as or better than the first season. For now, she said that they're still thinking about different ideas for season 2.

Moreover, Reese Witherspoon also shared that season 2 will be sort of up to Liane Moriarty.
