This year marks the 72nd anniversary of the victory in the Chinese People's War of Resistance against Japanese Aggression and the Second World War.
About 600 Christians gathered in Wuxi Church in Jiangsu and gave morning prayers for world peace on September 10, 2017.
Teacher Ji Haixia presided over the prayer meeting and led the congregation to recall the war days decades ago and the war sufferings. Ji appealed for the cherishing of the hard-earned peace and reminded that there was still an undercurrent under world peace and China faces internal turmoil and external threats. She asked the believers to pray to God for unstable factors and world peace.
She also said that we should start from ourselves and a trivial matter to treasure peace.
