The completion ceremony of Lizi Church : The choir of Yi people sang hymns to celebrate the completion.

Before the National Day holiday on October 1, Lizi Church in Dongguan Village, Nayong County, Guizhou, held a completion ceremony. Ma Longhai, general secretary of the county CCC&TSPM, presided over the two-day celebration.

Founded about thirty years ago, Lizi Church serves more than 100 Yi people, an ethnic group in China. After the 3rd Plenary Session of the 11th Central Committee of the Communist Party of China in Dec. 1978, local believers grew more and they gathered in another church about a three-hour walk away. Since there were many elderly members and it was inconvenient to get there, the church leader decided to establish a gathering in Lizi Village.

Lizi Church was formerly a house with stone and wood structure and became run-down with damaged walls after more than two decades. Costing 163,946 yuan, the new church construction was started in the first half of 2016 and completed in Aug. 2017.

With a net area of 300 square meters (0.45 acres), the church is 12 meters long, 7 meters wide, and 5 meters high.

During the two days, the pastoral staff gave sermons on the topic "The Holy Temple" and over forty Christian songs were performed by Yi and Miao people in the thanksgiving service.
