On Saturday, the Vatican announced that it is currently investigating reports about a former teenage altar boy who had allegedly repeatedly forced a dormitory mate to have sex with him and who is now a priest.

The allegations are said to have been done in the St. Pius X Institute, a known pre-seminary within the Vatican. It is also were altar boys serving in the Vatican for masses in St. Peter's Basilica reside. These altar boys also participate in papal liturgies. If not working for the church, they study in Italian schools.

According to reports, the teen has been reported consistently to superiors, but he was still admitted into a major seminary when he became older. It is reported that he was ordained as a priest not long after and now serving in a parish in Northern Italy.

According to the Vatican, an initial investigation was already done in 2013; however, "no adequate confirmation" was reached.

The new investigation would follow up new reports to determine "full light on what really happened."
