On Wednesday, the North Korean state media stressed that North Korea has denounced US President Donald Trump's decision to relist the state as a state sponsor of terrorism, calling it a "serious provocation and violent infringement."

The inclusion of North Korea to the list of state sponsors of terrorism was done by Trump on Monday after his Asian trip this month. Any state included in this list permits the US to impose more sanctions on the states but it may also increase tensions. In the case of North Korea, it may increase the tensions between the two countries considering the issue with North Korea's nuclear weapons and missile program.

KCNA reported that a foreign ministry spokesman said in interview with regards to asking the North Korean government's position of the designation, saying that the government is not engaged in any terrorist activity.

He also said the label is "just a tool for American style authoritarianism that can be attached or removed at any time in accordance with its interests."

It also made North Korea ever more committed into retaining the nuclear and missile project.

He also cited North Korea's official name - the Democratic People's Republic of Korea - and remarked, "As long as the US continues with its anti-DPRK hostile policy, our deterrence will be further strengthened."

"The US will be held entirely accountable for all the consequences to be entailed by its impudent provocation to the DPRK."

Upon his declaration of the designation to Norh Korea on Monday, Trump said, "In addition to threatening the world by nuclear devastation, North Korea has repeatedly supported acts of international terrorism, including assassinations on foreign soil."
