On Friday, Chinese President Xi Jinping said that China will not be spreading its political system abroad as the country tries to boost its global image and become a key player in the international community.

According to the report of state media outfits covering the event, Xi took part in an annual inter-party meeting this week which is considered as a "high-level dialogue" between members. In his opening speech, Xi said China was "struggling for the cause of human progress" and it will work on bringing benefits to countries worldwide.

He further adds, "We will not import other countries' models and will not export the China model."

"We will provide more opportunities for the world through our development."

Xinhua reports that representatives from hundreds of political parties in 120 countries took part in the four-day meeting. Some of the known attendees were Myanmar's Aung San Suu Kyi, Cambodian Prime Minister Hun Sen and US Republican National Committee Treasurer Tony Parker.

In October, President Xi laid out his plans for a proud and prosperous China under his leadership. He also called on for the support of the Communist Party and asked them to have a "big image."

Under Xi, China has managed to expand its foreign policy and military development. His "diplomatic thought" has also been recognized locally for transcending 300 years of Western international relations theory and became the benchmark of China's growth as a soft power. However, experts and some nations have raised concerns over China's growing influence as some joint ventures and international publishers have been affected by the growing influence of the Communist Party over their operations and liberties.
