Jinde Charities, the first Catholic NGO in China, will hold a Christmas party to raise funds for financially disadvantaged groups on December 16, 2017.

The funds will be used to cover tuition and fees for female students in poor mountainous districts and ethnic minorities, rehabilitation costs of disabled orphans, and assist elderly parents who lose their only children, empty nesters, and poor cataract seniors.

The party will include art performances, a charity bazaar, and an interactive show.

Founded in Shijiazhuang, capital of Hebei Province, in May 1997, Jinde Charities didn't celebrate its 20th anniversary, according to its official website. Instead, the staff saved some money on living costs during the Lenten season of 2017 to help people in need.

It strives to share the love of Christ through serving the society. The organization cooperates with local churches, overseas non-governmental institutions, and communities to share resources, benefit people, and create opportunities for sustainable development.
