With more than 12.3m worth of income this year, DanTDM has bagged the award for being the highest earning Youtuber of 2017, beating Pewdiepie and other famous Youtubers.

The 26-year-old Youtuber from Aldershot started off making videos of himself playing Minecraft and Pokemon and has been reported recently to make £12.3m this year.

The Youtuber also had a world tour that included four sold-out nights at the Sydney Opera House and over 11 billion views on YouTube. His $16.5 million earning is the the highest income of any YouTube star since Forbes started keeping track in 2015.

Moreover, even though the YouTuber, whose real name is Dan Middleton, did not feature in the top ten list last year, DanTDM had made history by entering the list this year.

The Youtuber's first aim when he started posting videos, was to only post videos under-10s, while working in Tesco.

However, back in November, Dan told in an interview that he wasn't prepared for the fame he got from being a YouTuber, adding that "it is intense being a role model for young people and is something he's still learning about."

Meanwhile, Canadian Lilly Singh (aka Superwoman), is in 10th place with £7.8m, making her the only woman to have been on the list. Last year's winner PewDiePie has fallen to sixth place. Pewds was accused of using the N-word in a video in January, and dropped by Disney in February over allegations of anti-Semitism.

Another known Youtuber, Zoella, who last month apologized following a backlash over the price of her £50 advent calendar, did not make the list.
