This month an exhibition of Christian culture and history is on display in Dinghai Muen Church in Zhoushan City, Zhejiang province.

The exhibition includes more than 800 antiques including books, documents, stone cravings, badges, photos, and manuscripts. Rare versions of the Bible, Christian books published in the Qing Dynasty and during the Republic of China period, oracle bone scripts, and Han bricks are also on display. The exhibit pieces are provided by the church staff and members.

This is the third time for the church to host such a cultural and historical exhibition since its dedication in 2011.

The church has also organized nine Christian trade culture gatherings and released 62 issues of a bimonthly tabloid.

According to the church's official website, it was founded by missionaries of the Southern Baptist Convention in 1850 and reconstructed in 1928. Owing to the increase in the number of the congregation, the church split into two, one locating in the city's east side and the other in the west side. The west-side, five-storey Muen Church was completed in 2011 with an area of 3 mu (0.49 acres) at a cost of 23 million yuan.
