On February 17, 2019, the Baoji Shilipu Church of Shaanxi held a memorial service for a 76-year-old elder.

Wang Juya, ordained as the church's elder in July 2015, died of illness on February 14.

Born in Fuping, Shaanxi province, in October 1943, Elder Wang was baptized into Christ in February 1982.

Since then, she was active in church ministries. She visited more than 30 churches along with the church and choir. She started to hold the post of the church's accountant in 1994.

From 1993 to 2018, she wrote and directed biblical plays. From 2005 to 2018, Wang worked as the vicar of one of the church's parishes, caring about the spiritual growth of parishioners and organizing various kinds of activities. Before the Chinese Lunar New Year, she used to visit the elderly, sick members or those with mobility problems.
