YWCA Japan Joins Nanjing Peace Pilgrimage

The fourth "Nanjing Peace Pilgrimage" took place in Nanjing from March 10 to 13, 2018, attended by 20 members from the YWCA of Japan and 29 representatives from the YMCA&YWCA of China. 

Marking the 40th anniversary of the Treaty of Peace and Friendship between Japan and China, the pilgrimage was aimed at establishing correct views of history and peace among the younger generation. 

The participants visited the Nanjing Museum of the Site of Lijixiang Comfort Stations and Nanjing Massacre Memorial Hall.

The "Nanjing Peace Pilgrimage" is a peace education program cooperated between the YWCAs of Japan and China. The first activity was conducted in Nanjing in 2007.
