On January 22, 2019, the Hungarian Embassy in Shanghai hosted a New Year’s concert in the Shanghai Moore Memorial Church, according to the WeChat account of "Shanghai Christianity".

Szilárd Bolla, consulate general of Hungary in Shanghai, offered welcome remarks to the participants.

To honor Hungarian poet Ferenc Kölcsey who wrote the national anthem of Hungary on January 22, 1823, the Hungarian government declared Jan 22 as the Day of Hungarian Culture.

Founded in 2014, the MusiColore Singing Ensemble from the country's Székesfehérvár sang choruses from different genres.

Rev. Xu Yulan, chairman of the Shanghai Municipal Three-Self Association said that the church was designed by the Hungarian architect Ladislaus E. Hudec as a bridge of communication and friendship between Hungary and China.
