On March 15, 2017, a Braille library was opened in Lianyungang Special Education Center of Jiangsu, funded by the project for blind children of the Amity Foundation.

The foundation said that more than 3000 runners engaged in a charity walking campaign on Nov 12, 2016 to support nine charitable programs, including the project which is also supported by LG Display Company (Nanjing).

It is said that there are inadequate Braille books in China with slow gears of publishing due to its specificity and there is only one braille library and publisher in China, China Braille Publishing House.

Amity Foundation, an independent Chinese social development organization, was created in 1985, on the initiative of Chinese Christians to promote education, social service, health, community development and civil society building to people from China's coastal provinces in the east to the minority areas of the west.
