One day after her brother-in-law Prince Harry happily and proudly announced his engagement to actress Meghan Markle, Kate Middleton showed all smiles as she stepped out first time since the engagement news.

"William and I are absolutely thrilled," the Duchess of Cambridge shared to the reporters at the Foundling Museum, London.

"It's such exciting news. It's a really happy time for any couple and we wish them all the best and hope they enjoy this happy moment," Kate Middleton added.

Meanwhile, the royal mother was at the said museum to acquire information about the way it uses art and creativity as a method in supporting and engaging children and vulnerable families.

The 35-year-old Duchess of Cambridge, who is known for supporting art therapy to some charities, met children and families who have been beneficiary of the museum's outreach and education programs.

Kate Middleton was also introduced to the museum which celebrates the Foundling Hospital, established in 1739 by Thomas Coram, to care for babies at risk of abandonment. According to People, it was the United Kingdom's first ever children's charity and first public art gallery. The said hospital is reportedly continuing as the children's charity, Coram.
