‘Descendants of the Sun’ Song Joong Ki Earns 16 Million Yuan From China Alone?

Famous Korean actor from "Descendants of the Sun", Song Joong Ki amazes everyone with the amount he earns in China alone.

Just recently, a Chinese news website revealed that "Song Joong Ki's commercial six-month earnings from China is 16 million yuan (approximately $2.5 million)."

The news website revealed additionally that"Song Joong Ki's commercial worth is rising due to the popularity of 'Descendants of the Sun' in Asia. China's commercial fees [for him] have risen sharply."

The site even revealed that his staggering six-month earnings have even surpassed thos extremely famous actors like Lee Min Ho and Kim Soo Hyun.

Seems the 30-year-old actor will continue to earn more as according to the website, "Currently there are about 10 advertising agencies sending love calls to him." With these 10 Chinese ads, the Korean star can definitely earn about 60 billion won or 53 million U.S. dollars according to the new site.

A spokesperson from the Korean star's agency, Blossom Entertainment, addressed this issue and stated, "There are a lot of speculative articles but we cannot reveal the exact amount. It is true that [he] is receiving love calls from global ads as well as CFs for domestic brands."

Since "Descendants of the Sun", Song Joong Ki is currently the brand ambassadors of LG Household and Health Care, Jeju Airlines, Dongwon F&B, Hite Jinro, Forencos, and many more.

Meanwhile, in another report, iQiyi, the famous video platform in China revealed that those watching Song's drama "Descendants of the Sun" were mostly female college students in large cities. With the numbers of views during the broadcast, the said famous Korean military romance drama had surpassed "My Love From The Star" record of 1.3 billion views.
