On May 13, 2018, Nick Vujicic gave a lecture in Shanghai, witnessing the power of dreams and truth. The Australian life fighter born without limbs encouraged the audiences to dream big, overcome obstacles, and never give up.

Having been to 68 countries in his life, the Australian motivational speaker expressed his love to China. He continued, "No matter where we are from, we all go through ups and downs. Just because you are wealthy doesn't mean you have no problem." He mentioned barriers and fear. Many people thought that he was strong and courageous, while he went through many obstacles before gaining strength and courage.

There was no secret of overcoming obstacles. He said, "Some obstacles are big, some obstacles are small. And when you're walking, you can't take five steps at a time. One step, one day a time, one obstacle at a time. As you exercise going through challenges, exercising courage, exercising strength, it's just like going to a gym."

He gave an example of himself. "I want to be a more patient husband. If I want more patience, I have to practice patience. If I want more courage, I need to practice courage." We needed to put a position to weight. However, it was not easy to put on weight and face challenges. He added, "I want you to know that we all have fear. But when you face your fear, you go even when you are afraid of your fear, that is when you exercise the muscle of your courage. Don't be afraid of challenges. Challenges make who you are."

He invited the participates to write down the words "me" and "goal" on a paper. "Obstacles" were things that prevented one to achieve his goal. "Your obstacles are not your barriers. It is a challenge and an opportunity. Nothing great comes easy."

"When you know why you do and what you do, the values of a dream, it's a dream worth failing for." Don't curse yourself for being a failure.

He asked, "When you look yourself in the mirror, do you like what you see? Do you love yourself?" In some people's minds, they thought that they would fail. But Nick encouraged to them give themselves a chance. "You need to be your best friend. If you can't be a friend to yourself, how would others treat you?"

After experiencing peaks and bottoms, two bankruptcies and glories, he pointed out four sincere suggestions:

  • When you know the truth, the truth sets you free.
  • You don't have to have money, more friends, and attention before you are happy. Be thankful.
  • Today is today, tomorrow is tomorrow. Tomorrow is not promised, so live today like it's your last.
  • Sometimes it's difficult to run a business when you are married. Buy your wives flowers, not three times a year, once a week. Marriage comes first. Look after your wife and family.
