As of August 2019, a fund set up by a pastor's daughter to reward teachers and students had donated up to 300,000 yuan. More than 400 students and 300 teachers were commended and rewarded.

In 2009, Huang Yachuan, daughter of Rev. Huang Weimin, the eleventh pastor of Kinmen Church, Fujian and also an early childhood education expert, donated 120,000 yuan to establish "Yachuan Scholarship and Faculty Award" in a high school in her hometown, Zhangpu.

On Aug 17, Zhangpu No. 6 High School in Changqiao Town held a commemoration to mark the 10th anniversary of the fund. The school's four students who received the fund's scholarships and have been admitted into universities gave grateful remarks for Huang's good work and shared their studying experiences with other students. Scholarships and paintings were also given to three high school graduates who got into famous universities.
