Sister Peng, who lives in Chongqing, found her faith in the Lord in 2016. In her family, her life was made difficult by her mother-in-law who often humiliated her. However, she looked up to God and believed that the LORD was her comfort.

Speaking of Peng's mother-in-law, she was also an unfortunate person. When she was young, her mother abandoned her and ran away from home. Her foster mother was very hard on her. Growing up in an environment lacking love, she was lonely and tricky.

Her mother-in-law never trusted Peng who was new to her family. She was always suspicious and thought that she had no good intentions. She instigated her son to fight with her daughter-in-law and even forced the couple to get a divorce certificate. She always believed that her daughter-in-law was harming her, so she went to find a witch and pasted "amulets" bought from the witch everywhere in her house.

Seeing this, Peng knew that her mother-in-law not only had problems in her way of thinking but also was disturbed by the evil spirits. Desiring to restore her mother-in-law's heart, she told her from the perspective of faith that it was wrong and would be confused easily by the evil spirits. Not only did her mother-in-law not listen, but also scolded her.

Every time her mother-in-law blamed her, she listened and prayed quietly in her heart. Although sometimes she was a little resentful in her heart, she entrusted herself to God. She often cried and prayed silently for her mother-in-law and her family.

One day, her mother-in-law began to nag her about her work for a long time. She was raged when she saw that her son did not support her. When Peng's son came back from the night shift, the mother-in-law began to provoke him again. She made up some lies and told him that “your mother didn’t respect me and called me a ghost.” Familiar with his grandma’s practice, the child could not bear it, when he recalled that her mother was treated roughly and his parents were forced to divorce by his grandma. He replied to her, “You are possessed by devils. Take a look, your room is full of horrible things.”

Her son's attitude towards her, coupled with her grandson's words caused her to think in disappointment. It suddenly occurred to her that the witch had said that a ghost was in her. She was a little scared, wondering if she was really possessed by the evil spirits.

In the big family, no one was willing to approach her mother-in-law except Peng, who had no prejudices against her. This made her feel different and she suddenly remembered her kindness!

One Sunday morning, she came to find Peng and asked for forgiveness because she had hurt her much. When Peng heard this, she said with gratitude, “I don’t hate you, because you don’t know what you have done. Everything was disturbed by the evil spirits.” Hearing this, her mother-in-law shed tears. She took out their divorce certificate and begged her to remarry her husband immediately.

Later, Peng's husband also came to Christ. She also preached the gospel to her mother-in-law, sharing with her many stories and testimonies about Jesus. She hoped that her mother-in-law and her father-in-law who have been divorced could be reconciled as if one person believed in the Lord, the whole family would also be blessed.
