Chinese Delegation Visits LA Church, Highlighting Religious Freedom and Church Development

Recently a delegation of twelve people from CCC&TSPM and State Administration for Religious Affairs (SARA) paid a visit to the church and seminary in Los Angeles.

On Feb 17, 2017, Chairman Fu Xianwei of TSPM, in an interview by World Journal, answered questions including on religious freedom in China and the Chinese church development.

According to CCC&TSPM, the representatives of the delegation including Elder Fu, Rev. Shan Weixiang, vice-chairman of CCC, etc.

Meanwhile, Dr. Wen Ge gave speeches on the overview of China Christianity in the latest decade, the media ministry, social service and theological education, respectively. About 100 Chinese pastoral staff attended it.

Besides, the delegation was invited to visit Fuller Theological Seminary. Besides a half-an-hour speech on the Chinese church development delivered by Fu, discussions concerning the dialogue between Christianity and Islam were held on the both sides. The four speakers agree that mutual respect, tolerance, understanding and conversation between religions have a key role in solving conflicts, the establishment of new orders and the realization of world peace.

CCC & TSPM claims that this exchange marks the second communication and cooperation with Christian Leadership Exchange (CLE) after the first one conducted in ten years ago, expanding friendly foundation for the further exchange of China-US church.

From Feb. 13 to 17, 2017, the China-US Church Ministries Symposium was co-held by CCC and CLE in Orlando, Florida. Chairman Fu gave a speech entitled "Overview of China Christianity in the Last 10 Years."
