On the morning of March 3, 2017, the Mingde Church in Urumqi held the 2017 World Day of Prayer service. This service had been prepared by the World Day of Prayer Philippine Committee with the theme "Am I being Unfair to You?"

According to the WeChat account of Jianghe, around 600 people attended the service and most of them were older brothers and sisters.

Three assistants spoke at the service, on behalf of the Filipino sisters, about their unfortunate experiences in life and work. They have suffered setbacks from both nature and people, topped with constant unfair treatment. It was their common hope was to live a life with respect and sufficient provisions. Everyone confessed and prayed at the same time and asked God to show them what they could do to help those in need to get through their difficulties.

Preacher Feng Zunyu shared the reading from Matthew 20:1-16 with the title "Am I Being Unfair to You?"

The Filipino sisters spoke about the real condition of women in the country and hoped female Christians all over the world would unite together in prayer and pray for those with different circumstances with the same heart.

The "Women's World Day of Prayer" first started from a prayer service jointly organized by Christian women from Canada and the USA which aims to care for women and children. Christian women worldwide started to join the service to pray for World Peace since 1945. The World Day of Prayer International Committee was founded in 1964 and set the first Friday of March as the World Day of Prayer.
