After a magnitude 8.1 earthquake struck Nepal in April 2015,  young people from all over the world volunteered to aid the country in the last two years.

Chengdu YMCA is recruiting volunteers to provide art education services and build and rebuild houses and facilities there in the coming February.

The youth-serving NGO reported that the serious earthquake killed at least 8,786 people and injured 22,303 as of June 11, 2015, at a depth of 20 km (12.4 miles). The epicenter was Pokhara, the second largest city of Nepal.

Apart from teaching art, the volunteers will construct communities and schools in local remote mountainous areas or reconstruct school dormitories, playgrounds, roads, toilets, and drinking systems.

The ministry will be conducted in cities including Kathmandu and Pokhara from Feb. 2 to 13, 2017.
