Nanjing Union Theological Seminary Establishes Internship Base in Huai’an Church

On July 5, 2018, Nanjing Union Theological Seminary inaugurated its internship base in Huai'an Church of Jiangsu.

According to the WeChat account of "Huai'an Church", Rev. Chen Yilu, the standing vice-dean of NUTS, addressed that the base would helpful for the only national seminary in China to absorb excellent traditional culture of China and make theological education rooted and grounded.

Rev. Gao Feng, the seminary's president, said that the seminary, founded in 1952, has cultivated many church workers. From 1981 when it was reopened to 2016, it has trained over 2,000 full-time theological graduates,  over 200 post-graduates for further pastoral education, and over 6,400 students who attended correspondence courses. Covering over 200 mu, the seminary was moved to a new campus in March 2009.

From the school year of 2016 to 2017, the full-time enrolled students numbered 374. In the last two years, it has made an effort to continuing chapel construction, opening doctoral specialties, expanding its recruitment numbers, and strengthening its teaching staff.

On June 24, 2018, it held the commencement ceremony for 108 graduates, 16 of whom received a master's degree, according to its official website.
