This September, Wuxi International Church launched a series of "religious charity week" activities that cost over 33,000 yuan, according to the church.

The nationwide week for religious charity campaign was first initiated by China's State Administration of Religious Affairs in September 2012.

The church sent six boxes of clothes to financially disadvantaged students and families in mountainous areas of Guizhou. Additionally, ten more poor families were funded.

In the back-to-school season of this September, it also gave 5,000 yuan to each of some local needy students.

In mid-September, the church held special birthday parties for severely handicapped people in Wuxi.

Sisters with the gift of knitting from the social work ministry wove presents for elderly people to celebrate the upcoming Double Ninth Festival that falls on Oct. 17 this year.
