On January 6, 2019,  the believers of the Dalian Harvest Road Church gathered in the newly renovated church to attend the first Sunday worship of the new year.

At the first meeting of the church, in addition to heartfelt blessings to the brothers and sisters, Pastor Cui Mingxia affectionately gave a sermon about love.

Spanning from 2017 to the end of 2018, the church in Dalian city, Liaoning Province, besides hiring a professional renovation team to carry out the work, also had co-workers of the church volunteer their time to work on the interior and exterior of the buildings.

Built in October 2001, the church covers an area of 4,400 square meters and has a building area of 4,300 square meters. With the seating capacity of 3,000, it is a relatively large church in Dalian.

In addition, three external elevators have been added to solve the accessibility problem of the elderly getting upstairs. Also, in the main building, the stage's backdrop, decorations, columns and windows have been redesigned and redecorated with Christian stories and characters. Seating has been refurbished to provide comfort and convenience. The floor was replaced to be not only more aesthetically pleasing but also is anti-slip for better safety. Both podium and stage have been re-adjusted and expanded. The audio and video gear and lighting are improved. The floor area has been expanded.  New tables and chairs have been placed behind the stage for preachers and a prayer room has been added. The church is also now equipped with better fire and safety equipment.

To complete the work before Christmas Eve of 2018, the members came to the church in the cold early mornings to help. The refurbishment of the church is now almost complete, and the remaining work is in progress.
