On December 20 and 21, 2019, Chengdu Guangyin Church of Sichuan allocated grants to 35 local poor students.

According to the church, the students who were from primary schools, high schools, and universities in Sichuan's northeastern Nanchong and Xichong County, shared their study plans and then received the funds. Rev. Zhang Jian, general secretary of Sichuan Christian Council & Three-Self Patriotic Movement, encouraged them to acquire knowledge to change their lives. He added that this financial gift of love need not be repaid but that they should pay it forward.

According to the church's senior pastor, Rev. Zhao Gang, the number of congregations has skyrocketed from 47 in the beginning to around 2,000 at present. The staff developed with growing part-time and full-time teams. More than 20 fellowships were founded to provide better pastoral care to the members. Concerning charity, the church has donated millions of yuan for education support, poverty relief, and assistance to people with disabilities. Moreover, it has cared for other sister churches and lower-income pastors.
