Shandong Holds Symposium on History of Local Church

A symposium on the history of the sinicization of Christianity was held at Shandong Theological Seminary on March 17, 2020. 

Rev. Gao Ming, president of Shandong Three-Self Patriotic Movement (TSPM), said a special committee researching church history in Shandong, had produced a study of Christianity in Shandong province, in accordance with the Shandong CC and TSPM.

More than 10 documents and historical records have been printed and formed the preliminary of a brief outline of Christianity in Shandong. 

He added that the goal should be to establish a historical database of the church in Shandong, to compile local church history textbooks, and to present the cultural construction of local Christianity in cooperation with university historians.
