Recently, an ethnic orchestra has been founded in Wenzhou Liushi Church and it begins its first rehearsals on July 3 after the afternoon communion service.

The church said that a few believers fond of ethnic musical instruments started to form an ethnic music band that included the church members and external players two years ago. They performed in the church's several rallies, leaving a deep impression to the congregation.

It opened the admission to all the Christians and the training programs covers dulcimer, Guzheng, pipa (the Chinese lute), yueqin (the moon guitar), sanxian (a three-stringed Chinese lute) and erhu (the Chinese violin).

Currently, the band has 45 members.

Last week, the staff confirmed the start of the training period, enrolled a number of interested believers and instruments in a meeting, playing together afterwards.

The church requested a prayer for the band's future study and service.

It is said that there are different worship teams including sacred music choir, symphony orchestra and electronic band in the church. They worship in different ways on Sunday services, seasonal gatherings and evangelistic meetings.
