There are a lot of negative things around thus we have to surround ourselves with positive people; think of positive thoughts and do a lot of positive things in order for us to have a happy life.

God wants us to be happy and live a life with positivity. But know that our mind has a big role in it. The bible tells us so that we have to think positively for there is a power in it and the power is said to be rooted in what we believe about God and His word.

We need to direct our minds to things that are true and reflect on how God is always truthful. We need to train our minds toward noble thoughts like being open to exploring God's word rather than clinging to man's norms and traditions. Likewise, we need to think of the things that are pure by refusing to entertain nasty and unclean ideas or even imaginations.

As Christians, we need to discipline our minds and we have the power of God to help us so. Though it also takes so much effort to lean towards hope in the midst of sufferings but it is the key towards a healthy and joyful living.

Praise the Lord. Give thanks for this is right! The fruit of godliness must gush forth within our soul.

The Scriptures below will help you understand more about positive thinking.

Philippians 4:8

"Finally, brothers, whatever is true, whatever is honorable, whatever is just, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is commendable, if there is any excellence, if there is anything worthy of praise, think about these things."

Proverbs 17:22

"A joyful heart is good medicine, but a crushed spirit dries up the bones."

Romans 8:28

"And we know that for those who love God all things work together for good, for those who are called according to his purpose."

Philippians 4:6

"Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God."

Ephesians 4:31-32

Let all bitterness and wrath and anger and clamor and slander be put away from you, along with all malice. Be kind to one another, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, as God in Christ forgave you.

Proverbs 3:1-35

My son, do not forget my teaching, but let your heart keep my commandments, for length of days and years of life and peace they will add to you. Let not steadfast love and faithfulness forsake you; bind them around your neck; write them on the tablet of your heart. So you will find favor and good success in the sight of God and man. Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and do not lean on your own understanding. ..

Hebrews 13:5

Keep your life free from love of money, and be content with what you have, for he has said, "I will never leave you nor forsake you."
