On October 2, Rev. Mao Yajun, the deputy chairman and president of Tianjin CCC&TSPM, preached the sermon "Sacrifice on Mount Moriah" in the first Sunday service in Gangweilu Church of Tianjin.

Citing Genesis 22:1-5, the pastor said that God wanted to test if Abraham loved God more than anything else through a sacrifice: " (The scene) God tested Abraham on Mount Moriah like He shooting a movie that was projected completely and done openly on Mount Golgotha. Some ask if God was joking with Abraham? Absolutely not."

For Issac, Abraham's son who took part in the trial of faith, the sermon points out that he was so impressed with the lesson despite the fact he was made a sacrifice to be killed and eventually be free from death. Isaac even reflected that there is not any fault that can be found in his life.

"For Issac, (he experienced) shouldering firewood (carrying the cross) up to the mountain to getting off  the mountain easily and he also experienced being bound and being released after the test God has given his father. Later, he was bound to remember the scapegoat God prepared for him, which urged him to live better for God."
