Recently, a team including an official from the bureau of ethnic and religious affairs of Longyou County, Zhejiang and some of the county's Christians visited a father and daughter both suffering from cancer in a hospital.

Xu Guojun, the father from Tashi Town of Louyou County, received 10,000 yuan from the team and tightly held the hand of Elder Fu Yunhua, former president of the county's CCC, to express his thanks.

According to two reports published in late August by the local WeChat accounts, Xu has advanced angioimmunoblastic T-cell lymphoma (AITL), but he gave up treatment to save money to pay for the therapy of his daughter diagnosed with aggressive leukemia. Hearing the moving story, the county's CCC&TSPM contacted the local bureau of ethnic and religious affairs to help them.
