102-year-old woman received baptism in a Sichuan church gathering on Sunday, Jan 14.

Two years ago, Lei Shuqun, heard the gospel from Christians living near her home in Jiangyou, a county-level city in northern Sichuan province.

She regularly attended Sunday services in Houba Gathering of the Gospel Church three or four km from her house. She went to the gathering on foot on warm days and in a wheelchair when it was cold.

Except for Sunday services, the congregation visited her home at times. They sang hymns, prayed, and shared faith experiences and testimonies with her.

Last Christmas, Lei filed a registration to be baptized.

Rev. Li Xianke who baptized her said that she still had a clear mind. Ten other applicants also receive baptism on that day, most in their sixties or seventies.

Lei said, "I was finally baptized. You have peace if you trust Jesus."
