In 2017, a church in Jiangsu began a ministry to raise funds for free lunches to elderly Christians who have difficulty with mobility once a week.

On January 7, 2018, Nantong Diyicheng Church in Jiangsu officially launched the ministry. Twenty-two church volunteers sent meals to financially disadvantaged senior believers above 70 who are incapacitated, disabled, live alone, or empty-nesters.

According to the CCC&TSPM, the church collected about 6,092 yuan for the ministry via an online crowdfunding platform as of November 14, 2017. The church also gave more than 20,000 yuan to support the program.
