On February 13, 2018, Rev. Li Lancheng, senior pastor of Nanjing Mochou Lu Church, led a team of over ten pastoral workers, administrators, and volunteers, to give greetings and food to 20 extremely poor families with disabled members in a local community.

The goods were rice, eggs, oil, ducks, and sausages.

Visiting needy families in Moling Community before the Chinese New Year has been the church's convention for more than ten years.

The recipients included a woman in her fifties in a wheelchair and another woman over 70 on behalf of her 107-year-old mother.

Mochou Lu Church, built by Charles Leaman of the Presbyterian Church USA, has the longest history among churches in Nanjing, tracing back its history to 1888 when it was called Jesus Church. It was rebuilt by Rev. Paul Abbott in 1936 as "Hanzhong Church". It got the name "Mochou Lu Church " in 1954. Having over 4,000 members, it has 3,800 regular churchgoers attending nine different services and gatherings. Baptism is held twice a year, one before Christmas and the other before Easter.
