On the morning of February 25, 2019, the Three-Self Patriotic Movement (TSPM) and the China Christian Council (CCC) of Hangzhou held a meeting regarding participating in a calligraphy exhibition together with other religions with the exhibition’s theme, “Patriotic Religions in Harmony” in celebration of the 70th anniversary of the founding of the PRC. Leaders of CCC & TSPM of Hangzhou, church staff who are skilled at calligraphy as well as five Christian calligraphers attended the meeting.

Sun Zhangdao, the president of the Hangzhou CCC, made a speech to mobilize the attendants, pointing out that participating in the exhibition would promote its relationships with other religions and strengthen the stability of the society, as well as demonstrate Christians' love of the country and the religion.

Attendants agreed that exhibition works of calligraphy, paintings and seal cutting should combine the art with Christianity and the Bible, and combine the socialist core values with the positive energy of Christianity.

Rev. Zhang Yaofa, president of the Hangzhou CCC and Rev. Zhang Zhongcheng, executive vice president of the TSPM respectively, prayed before and after the meeting. Rev. Hu Quanyuan, vice president and secretary, hosted the meeting.
