Summer Baptism Held Continually in Churches of Ningxia Province

In early August, summer baptism was held continually in churches of Ningxia Province in 2015. Hundreds of religious investigators passed the test about the faith and morals, got baptized and became Christians.

32 seeker got baptized in the church of Jiuquan, in Gansu Corridor.104 seekers got baptized ceremoniously in the 28th baptism of the church of Pingliang, in Gansu Plateau. The church of Xigu in Lanzhou held a three-day devotional revival and baptism. 38 brothers and sisters were baptized within that three days. 63 brothers and sisters were baptized in the church of Liangzhou district in Wuwei.

According to the report, many other churches in Gansu Province would also have hold the baptism in succession recently.

Gansu province borders the Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region and Hui Autonomous Region of Ningsia to the north, the Tsinghai Province and the Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region to the west. It has as many as 54 national minorities which are totally 2.199 million people, accounting for 8.7% of the total population in Gansu Province. 16 national minorities live in Gansu Province for generations, such as Hui, Tibetan, Dongxiang, Tu, Yugur, Baoan, Mongol, Salar, Kazak, Manchu .etc. The population of Muslims is more than one third of the total population in Gansu Province, which causes great difficulty to the spread of the gospel.
