Rev. Zhang Wen, vice-president and vice-chairman of the Shaanxi CCC&TSPM as well as general secretary of the YWCA of Xi'an, died of disease on Tuesday night at 50.
Her memorial service will be held in Xi'an Funeral Parlor on Saturday.
Rev. Zhang became a theological student in Nanjing Union Theological Seminary in 1984. She worked in the Xi'an CCC&TSPM after graduation in 1986. She served as the senior pastor of Xi'an Dongxin Lane Church for years and oversaw renovations of the century-old church. Leaving the post in 2015, she was employed as the general secretary of the YWCA of Xi'an.
