On May 24, 2018, the Amity Foundation held a wheelchair distribution ceremony in cooperation with Joni & Friends and the Huai'an CCC&TSPM in a church of Huai'an Jiangsu. Local officials, pastors, and believers attended it.

In the past three years, Amity and Joni & Friends distributed 1531 wheelchairs to disabled people, said Gu Chuanyong, Amity's vice broad chair.

During the ceremony, Mr. Brian Funk, a volunteer of Joni & Friends, told the moving story of the organization founder that the seventeen-year-old Joni took the dive that left her a quadriplegic. Instead of being discouraged, she came up with an idea of helping disabled people face their life like her. In 1979, she established the charitable organization "Joni and Friends".
