On March 19, 2019, Rev. Xu Xiaohong, chairman of the National Committee of the Three-Self Patriotic Movement, visited the Christian-based Amity Foundation, according to the Foundation.

Xu also paid a visit to the Amity's Rengu Nursing Home and Amity Bakery.

Founded in November 2007, Amity Bakery is the first domestic bakery run by mentally challenged people, dedicated to vocational rehabilitation for mentally disabled teenagers. He made rose cupcakes together with apprentices who suffer from dementia.

Afterward, Xu toured the photo gallery of Bishop K.H.Ting, the organization's founder, at Amity's Nanjing headquarters.

The registered church leader said that Amity's years of dedication to the public's welfare and innovation were worthy of learning from, especially regarding online charity. With respect to international cooperation, Xu stated that Amity, the first Chinese social organization to have an office in Geneva, should present a completely new look of Chinese social organizations to the world. He expected the NGO's future growth to be in Intelligent Plus.
