On August 28, 2019, a medical team from Nanzhan Church in Dongfeng County, Liaoyuan, Jilin, offered free clinical services in a rural village.

Yonghe Village in Erlongshan Township is remote with difficult transportation. The young people there tend to migrate to cities for jobs while the elderly stay back.

Led by a clergyman and a deacon, the team served more than 300 people through diagnosis and treatment in Chinese medicine, internal medicine, dermatology, dentistry, electrocardiography, B-scan ultrasonography, blood sugar level and blood pressure. The doctors gave counseling on medication, life and dietary habits according to the villagers' check-up results.

Founded in 2017, the church's medical team has offered free clinical services in seven far-off villages. It plans to travel to all the poor villages in Dongfeng County within five years.
