Since the outbreak of the epidemic, various theological colleges have made relevant arrangements for prevention and control. Some of them have set up special prevention and control teams to promote their work through online meetings. The specific implementations include several aspects, such as comprehensive screening to prevent hidden dangers, popularization of protection, postponement of school days, focusing on epidemic situation and dedications.

Winning the battle against the epidemic - Yanjing Theological Seminary in action

All teachers and students of Yanjing Theological Seminary and brothers and sisters in the Chapel established an epidemic prevention and control team in accordance with the deployment of the competent authorities and the Beijing CC. Being responsible for the health of all members, they issued a notice on January 24 to suspend the gatherings and encouraged believers to pray for the country, the church, Wuhan, the frontline workers and the infected people. The Seminary launched a donation initiative on February 2 to all teachers and students, and raised a total of about 154,990 yuan to support the infected areas, especially the medical staff fighting on the frontlines.

Zhejiang Theological Seminary established a leading group for epidemic prevention and control. On February 15, they had an online conference call during which Pastor Pan Xingwang greeted and encouraged teachers and students: "First, take care of your own health, go out less often, frequently wash your hands, exercise more, build confidence, and win against the epidemic; second, do not stop learning, complete the assignments given by teachers, adhere to spiritual life through activities such as Bible reading and prayers; third, uphold the pure faith, do not start rumors, do not believe in rumors, do not spread rumors, and build a positive image of Christianity; fourth, adhere to patriotism, foster a sense of the overall situation, public awareness, epidemic prevention and health awareness, and cooperate with relevant departments in communities to prevent and control the epidemic."

Nanjing Union Theological Seminary seriously implements the prevention and control of the epidemic

Nanjing Union Theological Seminary established a working group and an office for epidemic prevention and control. The group purchases and reserves epidemic prevention materials in time, disinfects the campus every day, follows-up on the health status of teachers and students, and distributes the public notice on epidemic prevention and control. They recommend books and share learning materials to keep everyone learning, and also actively contribute to the epidemic prevention and control work.

Shandong Theological Seminary assists in the prevention and control of epidemic

Shandong Theological College set up an emergency response team for epidemic prevention and control; the School Work Committee immediately issued the notice of delayed resumption of school and did a good job in three aspects: first, preventing entrance from outside, and controlling internal transmission of infection; second, teachers and students were required to actively cooperate with local management to jointly prevent and control the epidemic; third, an emergency response team was set up for prevention and control, to diagnose, isolate and treat people with the disease as early as possible. Meanwhile, the office will continue doing a good job in epidemic monitoring, screening, registration, reporting, security, disinfection and isolation, logistic support, etc.
