Xiapu County CC&TSPM in Ningde City, China's southeastern Fujian Province, held the first session of the seventh training class on Monday for backbone of female Christians.
Rev. Deng Lingyong, chairman and president of the Xiapu County CC&TSPM (Christian Council & Three-self Patriotic Movement), said that in the past years, many outstanding female believers had emerged in the churches of the county.
"Loving the Lord and their jobs, they selflessly contributed to the development of the county's churches and the socioeconomic growth of the county," he said.
The Women’s Ministry Committee of the Xiapu CC&TSPM launched the class on the theme of "Wise Women Role Models", expecting the female members to apply what they have learned when returning to their homes and churches, showing new style, new responsibilities, and new deeds.
Rev. Huang Lihong, senior pastor of Beimen Church in Zhangzhou was invited to give a lecture about the characteristics of a wise woman, relying on her rich teaching experience and life experiences. Through some female characters in the Bible, she urged the female believers to be wise women with reverence, and play a positive role in creating a good atmosphere for civilized families and well-run churches.
