Undergraduate students of Fujian Theological Seminary defended their graduation theses last Wednesday.

After the announcement of the defense rules, three church music undergraduates and 23 theological undergraduates presented their graduation theses in the multifunctional hall of the seminary's teaching building, according to CCC&TSPM.

After each student's self-report, the committee members of the defense made comments on the content of the thesis with questions, followed by student’s responses combining reflections on academic theories and theological practice.

The theses covered research on academic frontiers, the development of churches, and pastoral care from multiple perspectives. Some included exploration of Christian music and its localization, and the research approach of Christian art painting; some covered research rooted in biblical texts, and the analysis of the ideas of theologians such as Moltmann; others addressed religious dialogues under the perspective of religious pluralism, as well as reflections about pastoral care during COVID-19.
