On August 31, the Shanghai Agape Foundation and the local cancer rehabilitation service center jointly launched a project which will benefit 100 cancer survivors.

According to the foundation, Agape and the Aikang Cancer Rehabilitation Service Center in Yangpu District have been cooperating for five years. In 2020, together they launched the Project titled "Let Love Kindle the Light of Your Life” to continuously care for cancer survivors through health sports, art training, the pairing of patients, experience sharing, spiritual guidance, etc. Over the past year, the project has served about 3,300 people.

As one of the sub-projects, "Agape-Aikang’s 'Boat of Life'" has formed a certain influence in Shanghai and even the whole country and was officially named "Let Life Ride the Wind and Waves” this year. It is committed to building a public welfare brand, establishing scientific rehabilitation concepts, and cultivating public health awareness and behavior.

Xu Yulan, chairman of the Shanghai Three-self Patriotic Movement Committee (TSPM), said that the dragon boat team called "The Boat of Life", was an optimistic, united, and friendly team that shows encouragement and support to each other. She hoped that the dragon boat team could "go abroad", and that Shanghai couldhold a dragon boat race involving a team of cancer survivors.
