A foundation stone laying ceremony was hosted for a village church in Guangdong.

During the ceremony held on November 11, Rev. Lei Yuming, executive vice-president of Guangdong TSPM, preached a sermon titled "A House of Prayer for All Nations", for Mumian Church in Xuwen County, Zhanjiang, which is 18 kilometers away from the county seat, according to CCC&TSPM.

Built in 1929, after experiencing many changes, the village church was constructed as a thatched house covering a construction area of 720 square meters (0.178 acres) and a hall area of 90 square meters (0.022 acres). In 1993, the government implemented the policy to restore the church, and the township government returned the property and land to the church. However, due to disrepair for a long time, it become dilapidated and couldn’t open for worship. For the safety of believers, another iron shed was built for gatherings.

Now, after years of fundraising, the church has collected more than 200,000 yuan and is planning to build a two-story church with a total area of 290 square meters (0.072 acres).
